Who We Are
Sobek was founded in 2009 under the name "International Import & Export" as a family business with a clear vision to build a strong entity in importing and distributing agricultural equipment in the Egyptian market.
Through a strategic partnership with UAB Timothy in Lithuania, the company succeeded in obtaining official representation for a number of leading European brands, which strengthened its position and contributed to its rapid expansion across Egypt.
Sobek has relied on credibility, quality, and offering a wide range of equipment and spare parts at competitive prices, which earned it customer trust and established its position as a reliable partner in the agricultural sector.
One of its key achievements is obtaining the official agency for Belarus tractors manufactured by Minsk Tractor Works, one of the world’s largest tractor manufacturers.

Since Sobek was founded in 2009, our vision has been clear: to provide high–quality integrated agricultural solutions and to build a company distinguished by global expertise and local vision.
Today, we are entering a new strategic phase as we plan to enter the manufacturing of agricultural equipment under the SOBEK brand. This step is part of the Board of Directors’ vision to strengthen local industry and actively contribute to supporting the Egyptian national economy.
The manufacturing plan is fully managed by the company’s executive management under the supervision of the Board of Directors, with strict adherence to global quality standards at every stage of production.
The production roadmap includes three main stages: 1) External manufacturing: producing agricultural equipment under the SOBEK brand in cooperation with experienced international manufacturers, with direct executive supervision and quality control. 2) Gradual local assembly: shifting assembly stages to Egypt in order to develop local skills and strengthen industrial localization. 3) Full local manufacturing: establishing a complete industrial base in Egypt to develop innovative products that meet the needs of local and regional markets, create jobs, and support the national economy.
